    Hi, Dave. I have a question about muscle. Is there a way to lose fat without gaining too much muscle? I do cardio and weightlifting, but not too much weightlifting for that very reason.

      Hi Jen,

      Great question. There is definatley a way to lose fat with out gaining too much muscle. A combination of 30-60 minutes of cardio with high repitition ranges (15-30) will ensure long lean muscle instead of bulky muscle. Keep in mind that men have 3 times more muscle fibers than women, so it is much more difficult for a woman to gain bulky muscle. A great way to accomplish your goal without spending a ton of time in the gym is circuit training. Perform 4 – 6 of your favorite exercises hitting all of your major muscle groups one right after the other with little rest inbetween each exercise. Rest 30 to 60 seconds at the end of your last exercise then repeat circuit 1-2 more times. Hope this helped.
